The Blind Cafe

12 Jul

I just heard about a very cool event going on in Boulder, CO.  It’s called The Blind Café and it is a community awareness dinner and concert in the dark.  The Blind Café is a mind bending/heart opening experience where the audience will dine, particpate in a Q & A with their blind wait staff and enjoy a concert in the pitch dark.  I know someone who will be attending the event on the 14th of July and she is going to share hers and her husband’s experiences with us next week.  It will be interesting to hear what they experienced and learned!  Read more about this event at: http://www.theblindcafe.com/

My son went to a similar kind in Paris and he told me it was amazing to see the blind wait staff navigate through the aisles and serve the food to the right people. He said it was so pitch dark that he had to resort to his fingers, once in while. 🙂
I would love to visit the Blind Cafe.

It does sound like quite an experience for those who have never been “in the dark.”
